ChidoLingo Policies
At ChidoLingo, we're committed to ensuring that our students and teachers have the best possible experience. The following policies have been created to ensure transparency, fairness, and respect for all parties involved. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with these guidelines, as they are designed to promote a conducive learning environment for all.
Regular Class Policies
Our regular classes offer a high degree of flexibility. However, in order to respect our teachers’ time and allow for effective management of schedules, we’ve set a few ground rules for class rescheduling and cancellations, as well as the validity periods for our different class packages.
- Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy
We understand that unexpected circumstances can occur. In order to respect both our students’ and teachers’ schedules, we kindly request that any rescheduling or cancellation of classes be made at least 8 hours prior to the class start time. This allows our teachers to effectively manage their schedules and accommodate other students if possible. In the event that a class is not rescheduled or cancelled within this timeframe, the class will be considered as ‘given’ and will count towards your package of classes.
If there is a medium-level emergency, there won’t be any penalties and you can reschedule the class for another day at no additional cost. However, we would appreciate a message in this situation to ensure that our teachers are not left waiting.
- Package Validity Periods
Each of our class packages comes with a specific validity period within which you need to take your lessons. We’ve designed these periods to encourage regular and consistent learning, which is key to making progress in language acquisition.
5 Classes Package
The 5 classes package is valid for 2 month. This package is designed for students who wish to have a steady, weekly learning schedule.
10 and 25 Classes Package
The 10 and 25 classes packages are valid for 6 months. These packages provide a balance of regular classes and flexibility for students with variable schedules.
50 Classes Package
The 50 classes package is valid for 1 year. This package is ideal for students who are committed to long-term learning or wish to have a more intensive schedule.
- Conduct and Communication Guidelines
In our mission to foster a supportive and conducive learning environment, we believe in the importance of appropriate conduct and clear communication for all participants in our learning community.
Student Conduct
As a student, we kindly ask you to adhere to respectful and appropriate behavior at all times during your classes. Inappropriate behavior that disrupts the learning experience or disrespects our teachers will not be tolerated, and could result in cancellation of your classes.
Instructor Conduct
Our instructors are held to the highest standards of professional behavior. If you encounter any inappropriate conduct from an instructor, we encourage you to report it immediately to hola@chidolingo.com. We take all reports seriously and strive to maintain a respectful and safe learning environment.
- Class Attendance and Punctuality
To make the most of your language learning experience, we highly recommend that you attend all scheduled classes punctually. Teachers will wait for a maximum of 20 minutes for a student to join the class. If the student doesn’t join within this period, the class will be considered as taken.
ChidoLingo Challenge Policies
The ChidoLingo Challenge is a unique language learning program consisting of 36 classes with three different teachers. When followed according to the rules outlined here and on the Challenge landing page, you are eligible to receive a 30% refund upon completion.
- ChidoLingo Challenge Rules
You need to take your 36 classes in a maximum period of 3 months. Time will start running after you take the first class. Classes do not expire, but if you exceed the 3-month time limit, you will no longer be eligible for a refund.
To improve your listening and comprehension of accents, you must take classes with at least 3 different teachers in your program. To be eligible for a refund, you must take at least 6 classes with each teacher. For example, taking 1 class with teacher A, 1 class with teacher B and 34 classes with teacher C is not possible. It is only acceptable 6 classes (at least) with teacher A, 6 with teacher B and 24 with teacher C. You choose your teachers for every lesson.
- Class Rescheduling/Cancellation and Daily Class Limit
We understand that life can sometimes get in the way, however, the Challenge allows a maximum of one class rescheduling or cancellation per month. Additionally, to maintain the effectiveness of the program, the maximum number of classes you can take per day is one. Following these rules is crucial for the Challenge’s effectiveness and to qualify for the refund.
- What If I miss a class?
If a class is missed due to confirmed technical issues on ChidoLingo’s end, that class will still count towards your Challenge. Once we verify that the issue was on our side, we will update your account and restore your class credit.
However, if you fail to attend a class due to issues on your side, you will not be eligible for the 30% refund upon completing the ChidoLingo Challenge. Remember, you’re permitted to reschedule or cancel a maximum of one class per month.
- Trial Period and Cancellation Policy
During the 7-day trial period, you are welcome to take as many classes as you’d like without any commitment. However, if you enroll in 2 or more classes and subsequently cancel within the first week, a charge will be incurred for all classes at the average price of our available classes.
ChidoLingo is committed to providing an exceptional language learning experience. By adhering to these policies, we ensure a conducive environment for learning, teaching, and cultural exchange. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
