In the last episode, Kate spoke to a counselor about
her marks. Kate realized that she needs to concentrate
on school more. She does not want to fail her courses,
and she does not want to drop out. In this episode,
Kate discusses school with Jason. Will he go back to
school in September?

Jason: I’m so glad you agreed to come home with me next weekend. My folks are going to love you.
Kate: What makes you say that?
Jason: It’s just that I’ve never really dated a university student before. My parents always hoped I’d get my head on straight and go back to school.
Kate: But I thought you said you’re going to apply to college next year. They must be thrilled about that.
Jason: To be honest, I haven’t actually told them. They’re going through a lot right now. I don’t want to upset them if I change my mind over the summer.
Kate: Why would you change your mind? You said you were really pumped about going back to school.
Jason: I am. But you never know. September is a long way away. Anything could happen. I could win the lottery or something.
Kate: Now you’re dreaming.
Jason: You know me. I like to live for the moment. Whatever happens, happens.
Kate: Sometimes it’s good to plan ahead, Jason. We all need to have goals.
Jason: And what are your goals, Blondie? Are you going to save the world or just me?
Kate: I just want to pull up my marks so I can change my major. I think I’d be really good at marketing.
Jason: Do you really need a class to teach you how to sell something? You sold me, remember?
Kate: You know how I feel about school, Jason. It’s pretty hard to get anywhere in life without a degree of some sort.
Jason: So you say. I just never want to be married to a job. Speaking of married, did I tell you my parents are splitting up?
Kate: Yes, I’m really sorry. Is it official now?
