Recepcionist: Good morning. Park Inn.
How may I direct your call?
Martin: Reservations, please.
Reservations agent: Good morning. Reservations.
How may I help you?
Martin: This is Martin Baxter speaking.
I’d like to book a room for two people
for one week from May 14 till the 21.
Reservations agent: Would you prefer a king-size
bed or two doubles, Mr. Baxter?
Martin: I’d like a king, please. And do you have
any rooms with a view of the park?
Reservations agent: Would you like a smoking
or non-smoking room?
Martin: Non-smoking.
Reservations agent: Just a moment and I’ll check what we have
available. Yes. We have a non-smoking room
with a king and a view overlooking the park.
The rate is $210 per night and that includes a
daily complimentary continental breakfast
as well as a buffet breakfast on Sunday.
Martin: Okay. I’ll take it.
Reservations agent: How would you like to pay
for the room, Mr. Baxter?
Martin: I’ll use my American Express card.
My number is 321 678 0009.
Reservations agent: And the expiration date?
Martin: August 2009. Can you tell me what time
checkout is? We have a late flight on the 21st.
Reservations agent: Checkout is 11:00 am, but the concierge
can arrange to store your luggage
for the afternoon.
Martin: Okay. That’s good. We’ll be able
to do a little more sightseeing then.
Reservations agent: Okay, Mr. Baxter. Your reservation is complete.
